How to Check a Sarkari Result Answer Key

An answer key is the list of correct answers that a recruiting body or exam board publishes after a written exam. With it you can check your own answers and estimate your score long before the result comes out. Most exams publish a provisional answer key first and a final answer key after reviewing candidates’ objections; the result is prepared from the final one.

1. Open the answer key post for your exam on this site and use the official link under Important links. Only the official website of the exam body has the real answer key.
2. Where the exam asks for it, sign in with your registration or roll number and your date of birth or password.
3. Download the answer key PDF, or your response sheet showing the answers you marked, and save a copy before the link closes.

If you think an answer in the provisional key is wrong, you can usually challenge it online within a few days. Choose the question, give the answer you believe is correct and upload proof, such as a page from a standard textbook. Many exams charge a fee for each question challenged; the notice gives the amount and the last date. Objections sent after the window closes, or by post, are not considered.

Compare your answers with the key. Add the marks for every correct answer and subtract the negative marking for every wrong one, as your exam’s notification sets it; questions you left blank get no marks.

For example, in an exam of 100 questions with 1 mark each and a quarter of a mark deducted for each wrong answer, 70 correct and 20 wrong answers with 10 left blank give 70 − 5 = 65 marks. Exams that hold several shifts may normalise scores, so your final marks can differ slightly from this estimate.
