The office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi, has opened 119 posts for sportspersons in its Delhi Region: 44 Tax Assistant and 9 Stenographer Grade II posts at Pay Level 4, and 66 Multi-Tasking Staff posts at Pay Level 1. The posts are filled only through the sports quota and are spread across 27 games, with the most in athletics (15), hockey (12), kabaddi (9) and volleyball (7).
Selected candidates are posted in the Delhi Region only and must play for the department for at least ten years. Tax Assistants must pass a data-entry skill test after joining, and stenographers a shorthand test at 80 words a minute.

Upper age limit: 27 years for Tax Assistant and Stenographer Grade II, 25 years for Multi-Tasking Staff, on 31 August 2026.
Meritorious sportspersons get up to 5 years of upper age relaxation (10 years for SC and ST candidates). Posts are not reserved for SC, ST, OBC or EWS.
Only candidates with sports achievements between 1 January 2020 and 15 October 2026 can apply: international events, national championships or National Games, inter-university events, Khelo India games or national school games, backed by certificates from the authorities named in the notice.

- Fill in the online form, choose the posts you are applying for in order of preference, and upload your date of birth proof, Aadhaar, qualification certificate, sports certificates in the prescribed form and, if it applies, your SC/ST certificate or employer’s NOC.
- Check every detail with the preview, then submit before 11:59 pm on 10 November 2026. Send only one application: more than one gets all of them rejected.
- Watch your email: the department writes to shortlisted candidates by email only.
